Constipation is nothing but strain, passing hard, dry painful tools and having less than three bowel movements per week. Dehydration is the common cause for constipation. Many doctors prescribe laxatives to resolve the problem. However by drinking laxatives alone one cannot completely cure constipation. This is because some individuals might be chronically dehydrated by consuming too many sugary caffeinated drinks and by not drinking quality drinking water. To have a proper hydration one must have a minimum of half the body weight in ounces of water every day. Proper dietary plans will also help eradicate constipation. It is said that if the constipation is not treated than the treatment for leaky gut will not be effective.
