If your Child is truly overweight, get a hold on eating habits

NOW Child hood obesity is an increasing problem in this country as we now know that around fifteen percent of children and adolescents are considered obese. The rate of increase among children and adolescents who are considered obese has increased enormously over the past three decades.


Obesity in Childhood is medically far more serious than most parents realize. It is a very real issue that is affecting millions of children each day. Childhood obesity is an increasingly difficult problem. Action, if taken early, can change the outcome for obese children or even prevent it happening in the first place.

Childhood obesity is the overarching larger problem, but before we can address it we must face the facts that children’s school lunches need to be more nutritional. We also must take a collective stand on feeding children fast food, junk food, soda and unhealthy juices. Obesity in children can have serious repercussions such as disease, and negative emotional effects. Most childhood obesity is continuous through adulthood. Children who sit too much and move too little are at the highest risk for becoming overweight. Kids need an hour of exercise daily for optimum health.

Parents, especially of those whose children are at risk for obesity at a young age, should promote healthy food and lifestyle choices early in their development. Parents have less time to spend cooking. The results are that families eat more pre-prepared and fast foods, parents do not supervise their children’s meals as closely and children play (sedentary) computer games rather than sport.

Parents can create healthy environments for their children by doing regular physical activities, such as biking, swimming, or walking together. They should encourage their children to participate in sports, dance, martial arts, and etcetera.

Physical education is definitely as important as increasing the knowledge in our brains. Giving better healthy alternatives to our children and ourselves is the best thing that could happen.

Physical activity is necessary to maintain weight loss and to redistribute body fat into muscle. Initial exercise recommendations should be small and exercise levels should be increased slowly, to avoid possible discouragement. Physical fitness is a trend among adults, but not among children. It’s

grownups who are out running, walking, jogging, and joining fitness clubs and aerobic classes, why not take their kids with them.

Healthcare professions across the country are reporting case after case of adolescents who are not just overweight – but downright obese. What’s worse is that the ages are getting younger and younger each year.

Is anyone even listening…  IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HELP YOUR KIDS LOSE WEIGHT I SUGGEST GOING HERE  Do something before its too late..
